Our existing client, Lucketts Travel, is launching a new shuttle service for commuters travelling to and from Whiteley in Hampshire. The Whiteley Connect shuttle service hopes to help reduce congestion and emissions in Whiteley, while providing commuters a more stress-free journey to and from work.

Launching on Monday 30th September, Glow was asked to design the promotional materials, including flyers, banners, a bus rear advert and a new logo!

The brief

The design brief for the logo was that it needed to be a new brand, but with a nod to the Lucketts’ brand.

So, the new logo design includes the orange from Lucketts’ colour palette along with a dynamic coach icon. To create the idea of movement and speed, the text is italicised and ‘go faster’ stripes have been added to the bus icon. If you’ve got a beady eye, you may have already noticed that the stripes mimic the bottom of the ‘K’ from the Lucketts logo.

The logo and brand have then been applied across all promotional materials along with news that to celebrate the launch, the service will be free for the first week!

About Whiteley Connect

A new shuttle service to Whiteley Business Park from Portsmouth and Fareham Train Station, operated by Lucketts Travel.

To celebrate the launch of the new service, Lucketts is making the service completely free in the first week. After that, commuters will only pay £2 from Fareham or £2.50 from Portsmouth, for a single trip.

All vehicles will be fitted out with contactless technology, so customers can tap a credit or debit card, or smart phone or watch to pay.

You can travel in comfort on modern coaches with leather seats, air conditioning, a W.C and coming soon to the service – USB charging ports and Wi-Fi.

Visit the Lucketts website for more information including timetables, stops and fares and follow @WhiteleyConnect on Twitter for service updates.

So, keep an eye out for the shuttles from next week, and let us know if you get a chance to try it out!
